Payment Processing for Online Gaming Businesses

Selecting a payment method starts with identifying the business model. A game publisher, subscription service and licensed wagering operator should not assume that they have the same provider eligibility.

Map the activity and markets

Describe the products, any wagering element, fulfillment, currencies and customer locations. Give the provider an accurate business description before integration.

Compare methods by operational fit

Evaluate cards, bank payments and wallets only where the provider permits the activity. Compare reconciliation, refunds, settlement and dispute responsibilities rather than selecting solely for checkout speed.

Treat identity and geography as controls

Privacy protections do not remove identification or location requirements. Do not use a VPN, crypto transfer or different merchant description to bypass a restriction.

Prepare a launch checklist

Confirm written approval, test the permitted integration and document customer support, refund handling and monitoring. Set expectations for funding delays and manual reviews. A method that works for another platform may not be available for yours.
