Whether it is getting coffee or catching a train, people are after one thing when going through the day to day: convenience. At Payline, we use mobile apps like Slack and Pocket to help make daily work life run efficiently. Today there are apps for just about everything. I’ve come to think that my white noise app for falling asleep is the greatest innovation since pizza, but there are others that you can download to use for fun and efficiency.

Mobile apps have become a huge part of the way we communicate, make mobile payments, and entertain ourselves. They are simple to download and make like easier, so when in doubt, there’s an app for that. Here is just a selection of the apps you may not have considered that can give you the convenience and flexibility you want in all areas of your life.

Expensify: Are you someone that is constantly shoving receipts into your pockets or the nooks and crannies of your wallet? Despite the good intentions of organizing them later, it seldom happens. Now Expensify can do it for you. This app allows you to scan your receipts easily and it will then categorize and save them for you. Instead of into your pocket, this app can send your paper receipts straight into recycling.

Trello: Though single-tasking may be better for your health and proficiency, multitasking is sometimes necessary. Trello can step in and do the multitasking for you. Trello will help you organize the contents of your mind and lay them out neatly in an easy-to-use app. You can input all of your ongoing projects into the system and even have others join you for an easy collaborative experience.

GoToMeeting: Always feel like you need to have meetings but don’t have time to actually have them? GoToMeeting is for you. This app allows you to make meetings and conferences in an online interface. It is particularly helpful for people doing business across different geographic locations.

Apple Pay: Mobile apps and mobile wallets, while still a newer technology, are also one of the fastest growing payment methods available for merchants and consumers. Apple Pay is one of the mobile payments leading the charge.

Wordswag: A picture is worth a thousand words, and Wordswag will help with that. With this app, you can customize a photo with your personal brand logo and use to upload on social media and add to website content.

Pocket: For the FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) afflicted, Pocket is a fantastic resource. With Pocket, you can keep up with anything and everything viral, but at your own pace. The Pocket button allows you to save articles, videos and other content to a list with ease and without ads. It also recently started an iMessage function. Recently, Mozilla acquired Pocket, which can potentially mean new developments for the app in the future to make it even better.

TripIt: Traveling for business? Some of us at Payline like this app because it saves busy travelers both time and the effort of endless searching through inboxes for travel itineraries. Not only will it keep you in the know of what your upcoming trip details are, but you can also share this information with friends, be notified if better flights are available to you ahead of time and snag your favorite seat on the plane.

Evernote: This app combines the creativity of Pinterest with the practicality of a notepad. Through one streamlined platform, Evernote will collect any notes you take combined with clips  or web links that are searchable across all of your devices. It is the notebook for the digital age, and there are different tiered plans to fit every need.

No one will pass up the opportunity to streamline a process, particularly in business. Whether you’re looking for the best way to organize a party or finding good payment processing options, the many mobile apps available are a frontrunner for the efficiency-seeker. Don’t miss an opportunity to simplify your daily life.
